KA210 “Home away from home: Integration of immigrants”

Home away from Home was our way to address the challenges faced by young migrants and refugees, particularly in light of the ongoing European refugee crisis and the instability caused by conflicts like the war in Ukraine. We wanted to give young people support through cultural orientation, skill development, and fostering social connections, thus aiming to ease the integration process, promote well-being, and enable personal and professional growth.
The implementation of the project was centred around an 8-day mobility program, which included interactive workshops on intercultural communication, conflict resolution, social inclusion, and employability skills. Participants also engaged in community activities, creative expression workshops, and networking opportunities, allowing them to build lasting connections and support networks.
By the project’s end, we had engaged 43 participants, including young migrants and refugees, youth workers, volunteers, and local organisation representatives. Our participants actively participated in the program, gaining valuable skills and insights to support their integration and community involvement.
